Sangha News: 20th November 2023
Welcome
Sangha is a great way of supporting your practice and supporting the practice of others attending. Thank you for your support. Alobhin led the evening with a talk on the life of the Buddha.
Next week – please come to Sangha to help give Sanghaketu a warm welcome!

Midwest Jewel Quest
We have received the following information from Khemasiri who is based at the Nottingham Buddhist Centre:
The preceptors in the Midwest region are bringing Midwest Jewel Quest back to life. There were a few events before covid caused it to pause.
Midwest Jewel Quest are events for women training for ordination in the Midwest region. The aim is to support Tiratanaloka and help women training for ordination to connect regionally. The events are about making friends, practising the dharma and having fun!
The order is divided into regions. The Midwest region consists of city centres, groups and retreat centres including: Birmingham, Nottingham, Leicester, Shrewsbury, Llangollen, Adhisthana, Malvern, Ledbury, Hereford, Worcester, Taraloka, North Wales and West Wales.
2024 Events Planned
- Saturday 29th June 11am-5pm: Birmingham Buddhist Centre with Pranjagita
- 6th – 8th September: Retreat Weekend at Taraloka
More information about these events and how to book will be sent in due course, you may wish to save the dates for now.
We aim to organise 2 events a year.
With love
Khemasiri (on behalf of the Midwest preceptors)
